The Anesthesiologist delivers comprehensive, high-quality perioperative anesthetic care to pediatric patients undergoing elective and emergency procedures in the Day Surgery Unit. This position leads the administration of general anesthesia, regional blocks, and procedural sedation, ensuring safety from pre-operative assessment through post-anesthesia recovery and same-day discharge.

 

Position Details

 

  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop tailored pediatric care plans.
  • Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia adapted for infants and children, leading airway management and vascular access placement.
  • Continuously monitor intraoperative vital signs, depth of anesthesia, fluid balance, and blood gas analysis.
  • Rapidly diagnose and manage perioperative emergencies, intraoperative complications, or sudden airway compromise.
  • Oversee patient emergence, post-operative pain and nausea management, and safe same-day recovery room discharge.
  • Verify machine calibrations and equipment readiness alongside Anesthesia Technicians.
  • Ensure full compliance with WHO Surgical Safety Checklists (pediatric adaptation) and International Patient Safety Goals (IPSGs).
  • Provide clear, empathetic pre- and post-operative guidance to parents and guardians.
متطلبات الوظيفة

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in General Medicine, Specialization in Anesthesiology.
  • Valid Medical license to practice.
  • Minimum of 7- 10 years of relevant clinical experience in pediatric anesthesiology and perioperative care.
  • Valid BLS, PALS and ACLS certificates.
